Friends Of Fido Calendar Contest Winners | Boardman Dog Photographer

Oh how Northeast Ohio weather drives me crazy! I had planned to photograph all of the dogs from this year’s Friends of Fido calendar contest in two days at Boardman Park. Well, Mother Nature disagreed with me and I was only able to get 3 dogs in that weekend. The rest of the photo sessions have been scattered over the last few weeks. I still have two more that I haven’t had a chance to work on because of the lovely rain and storms.

Up first is our adorable cover winner – Bullet! Mr. Bullet is a regular client of mine, and you’ll see his photographs on my website and blog. His mom is a good friend of mine and her dogs are her pride and joy! Bullet was rescued from Angel’s for Animals in 2006. His mom can’t imagine life without her snuggle buddy!

Bullet’s brother, Rex, is also in the calendar, so we were able to do both their photos back to back. Rex is also a rescue dog; he came from the Mahoning County Dog Pound in 2008. Rex is such a sweetheart and he makes the best faces for the camera!

Next up is the adorable Sammie. I know Sammie’s mom too! So I’ve seen Sammie on Facebook for years, but this was my first time meeting him in person. Sammie is a whopping 4 pounds. I think he was quickly bored with me and just wanted to walk around the park with his mom.

Last but not least for this blog post is Henry. Henry is also a rescue dog and he made the trip to Boardman for his photo session from Mars, Pennsylvania. Oh those ears, I love his ears! Henry was super sweet and we had a great time during his photos.

Check back next week for the next set of dogs I had the opportunity to photograph for the Friends of Fido calendar. I can’t wait to have all the photos done and start working on the calendar layout. It is going to be beyond adorable with all these cuties gracing the pages!
