Meet Jerrod, one of my favorite Baristas at Starbucks in New Albany. One morning after I put up my portrait display in the coffee shop, he mentioned to me that he was interested in some headshots. I was excited to work with him and the only dilemma was the weather, at that point. Between the cold, rain and unusually dreary Spring in Central Ohio, it took longer than I had hoped for the weather to become nice. We finally had a warm Saturday with no rain last weekend and headed out for some portraits when he finished working.
We decided to stay around Market Square near Starbucks for his portraits. I had to chuckle, Jerrod is like a celebrity in New Albany. We were behind the CVS building for some photos and people were driving by beeping and waving at him! I guess I’m not the only one that thinks he’s a great guy! We both had a fun time walking around the Market Square area and I must say, Jerrod is such a hoot and made me laugh the entire time we were out.
Jerrod is getting ready to start a great new adventure in his life. His last day at Starbucks is May 25th and then he will be leaving June 2nd for Indianapolis, for a month of training to become a flight attendant! I’m sure that all the customers at Starbucks (especially myself) will be sad to see him go. I’m positive that he’ll be an amazing flight attendant and hopefully he’ll be based out of Port Columbus Airport so all his regular customers can see him when he’s not trotting the globe! Good luck in your new adventure Jerrod! Your regular customers will miss you greatly!
