Teen Portraits At The Studio { Boardman Photographer }

As soon as I saw Courtney’s dad post photographs of her on Facebook, I could not wait for the opportunity to photograph her! I finally had the chance to do just that, the other weekend. Can you believe this beauty is only 16-years-old? I swear kids these days look so much older than when I was their age! I’m pretty sure I had glasses, braces and big, frizzy hair at 16!

As I opened the studio door, I was greeted by not just Courtney, but also her parents, brother and sister. It was a family outing for everyone, for her photos at the Boardman photo studio. To keep her relaxed in front of the camera, we all agreed that during shooting, it would be best if everyone was not in the shooting room. The family headed over to my other room in the studio where I hold my viewing appointments. Courtney was spot on once her fan club headed to the other room. There is always a huge difference in how people act in front of the camera when other people are watching. That’s why I always suggest limiting the amount of people at the photo session.

Being the typical girl, she arrived with a ton of clothes, accessories and shoes for her photographs. We picked out a few different combinations. She did a great job of coordinating a few different looks and it resulted in a beautiful photography shoot. Her dad told me she is already thinking about what outfits she will be wearing for her next photography session with me! Without a doubt, Courtney is a natural in front of the camera. Take a peak at just a few of my favorites from her studio photo session.
