The Best Of 2014: The Top 10 Photos { Youngstown Photographer }

I love doing a best of list on my blog. It’s always so hard to pick favorite images from one session, let alone favorites from multiple sessions throughout the year!

First off is Emily. I adore this family and they have become repeat clients. Emily was also one of my Class of 2015 Senior models from Boardman High School so I was able to photograph this beauty two times last year. We had so much fun at both of her sessions and it was so hard to pick just one photo from her shoots as my favorite!

Just in time for the Holidays and Christmas gifts, Lucia had me photograph her adorable pup Gigi. Since Lucia owns. Color Vanity By Lucia, it was fitting to have Gigi’s photo taken in front of the makeup chair at the studio! Nothing screams my mom does hair and makeup more than this photo!

The gorgeous Bailey is next on this list. 5’8”, amazing long blond hair, soccer player and stunning blue eyes. Bailey is a Canfield High School Class of 2015 senior. She had an amazing photo session at Mill Creek Park’s Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Of course one of my personal projects had to end up on the list. Combining Chrissy’s favorite things – her dogs and her shoes. I had this shoot in my head for months and we were finally able to get around to it. Being a crazy dog mom and obsessed with accessories — cute shoes and a pup in a photograph are just pure perfection in my mind!

Next up are the “S” kids. We did this session at the Lake Club in Poland. Beautiful Fall weather and three fantastic kids made for a fun shoot on the golf course. It doesn’t hurt that the kids were so well behaved and super adorable!

Miranda is a Class of 2015 Senior at East Palestine High School. Miranda had so many looks and locations for her photo session, including Downtown Youngstown, Fellows Riverside Gardens and Lanterman’s Mill. You would never guess from the end result that Miranda was actually nervous for her portraits!

Lola made it in to this year’s top 10 list. I’ve now photographed her three times since I’ve been back in Boardman! I loved this image of her so much that I entered it into the Canfield Fair and her image even won a Juror’s Award! Because who doesn’t love a dog all dolled up including nail polish and a necklace!

We had Lilly’s First Communion portraits at the studio. Mother nature was not cooperating with us when we had hoped for an outdoor session. Of course she looked perfect in her outfit and she did an amazing job!

What happens when your cousin is a Senior photographer and you let her have free reign on locations – you end up at a family member’s property with an old barn and rusty crane equipment. I’m pretty sure Ricky and his mom thought I had lost my mind when I suggested the “junk yard” location. But the texture and color were perfect for an urban senior photo session!

three 4-month old pomeranian puppies in wooden basket for dog portraits with blue backdrop

Last but not are the Pomeranian puppies! Jessie, Stormy and Pippa came to the studio in February for their photo session. At a whopping four months old, these three were something else to work with. How can a photo session even go wrong when you get tons of puppy kisses!
