Dog Photography In The Studio { Boardman Pet Photographer }

Legacy Dog Rescue had a vendor event before the Holidays and I donated a dog photography session to their auction to help raise funds for the group. Lisa was the proud winner of the photo shoot. She brought in her dogs, Pretty Girl and Jillian for their photos in January.

We knew that it may be a struggle for Pretty Girl’s photos. This 6-year-old German Shepherd had been abused before Lisa took her in, so she is very skittish about everything. I had Lisa bring the dogs to the studio a few times before the session to help get them acclimated to the new environment before we sprung a photo session on them. I’m so glad we decided to do that. The other tenants near my office love dogs as well, so it’s always fun when everyone gets to take a break from their workday to come out in the hallway and visit with the dogs.

We started with Jillian’s photos. What a little ham this 4-year-old Austalian/Terrier mix is! She was completely playing it up for the camera during her photos. And boy, did she love the treats I had for her! Pretty Girl did really well too, she took a little more time and love than her sister, but in the end there are some beautiful images of both of them for Lisa to enjoy!
