I have been working on so many projects for Lucia lately, it’s almost like we work together. I spent a few weeks photographing all of the makeup she offers at Color Vanity By Lucia and updated her website shopping cart for her with all of  the photos. It’s been a fun and different project for me to break up all of the Holiday portrait sessions. During that time we also snuck in a photo session of her pup, Gigi, for Holiday gifts. Lucia gave Gigi and her photos to her husband and mother for the holidays. Such a fun gift that no one had any idea about!

As soon as I arrived at the Boardman salon for the photo session, Gigi, a 3-year-old American Eskimo, was guarding the door and made sure to let her mom know that Iwas there. Of course we had to get Gigi in “the chair” and framed her with the makeup mirror right behind her. The credit union next to the salon had to wonder what the heck was going on. Gigi was barking, I was making my dog noises – it had to be pretty confusing or entertaining to the staff if they heard us through the walls.

Lucia had one room of the salon setup as a Holiday pop-up shop for her mom’s stunning handmade Christmas decor. We ushered Gigi into that room for the perfect Christmas backdrop for some photographs. The salon was a great setting for photos since it completely reflects their style … modern, pink and bling! I also captured some images back in the pedicure area.

We packed up the camera and the dog and headed to the studio, for another round of photographs. Lucia dressed her pup in Christmas clothing and even leg warmers! Gigi may have been over the whole experience once her mom started putting the clothing on her, but if nothing else, it gave us a good laugh watching her react to the clothing and accessories.

So many fun images, I had to pick a few to share with everyone. I’m so glad we got this secret Christmas gift together in time for the holidays!
